“Bridging the gap between PT and performance”

You know how collegiate basketball teams have different coaches for different things?

There’s a shooting coach, a defensive coach, a head coach for game strategy, and then there’s the strength coach who works with the athletes in the gym in the off-season, and to prep for showtime. That’s me.

When I first started coaching, I worked with a few different types of athletes; golfers, BJJ practitioners, and of course, pole dancers and aerialists, because as a former-performer, pretty much everyone I know is a dancer of some kind.

I LOVED being the person to help them with all those body puzzles that didn’t quite make sense to their skill coaches.

I thought “I would love to take this to the next level, and work as a professional strength coach for a sports team”… but since that job doesn’t exist for movement artists; it meant I would have to stop working with the types of humans I love the most, and that would take a huge chunk of meaning out of my career.

So I said “Wait, WHY doesn’t this exist? It should!!” There are tons of coaches out there to help movement artists with skillwork, mobility, in-studio conditioning, flexibility, even some that implement weightlifting. But what about coaches who are specialize specifically in cross-training? WE. NEED. THAT!

Movement artists deserve that same type of support as mainstream sports. And now it exists.

 Values and Responsibility

I believe that everybody’s unique experience of the world should not only be acknowledged in a coaching setting; but considered when creating programming as a whole. The best training happens when athletes feel safe, and affirmed in ways important to them.

I am responsible for continuing to educate myself in micro-politics in the performing arts and fitness space, and challenges unique to marginalized communities in order to provide the most informed coaching possible.

I believe that the best training programs for performing artists make those artists more uniquely themselves.

What Movement Artists Are Saying

Love that Britta breaks down all the details about movements when it comes to anatomy. That helps me so much in figuring out exactly what it is I need to get my body to do in different exercises/stretches. Love the mind body connection. She creates flexible programming and give me options when I need to move things around or when my body doesn’t feel 100%.

— TASHA, pole dancer, chains artist

I love working with Britta because of her in depth anatomical knowledge and compassionate but tough approach to training clients. The fact you specialize with aerialists and are a movement professional greatly helps as well!

-GABBY, -pole dancer, silks artist

Britta understands what it's like to have other disciplines and are willing to be real with how to individually create workouts that will help add some balance into training.

-Alex. juggler

I like training with Britta because her programming style is easy to follow and easy to get set up.

Obviously I work with her because of her expertise in the specific areas I want to outsource my training plan in, but I like that getting everything set up is to the point and all the answers I need are literally right there. I’m busy and it streamlined my day a lot.

-MARIA, pole dancer

I train with Britta because of her focus. I love seeing the brain gears twisting every time I have some outlying data sort of physiology or quirk. She’s always learning and curious which makes me, as a student, feel like whatever surprises come up will still have options for figuring it out. Leaves me feeling confident to do the hard things.
