What to expect:
Welcome to my strong and bendy world where dancers train like athletes, and emerge strong and bendy AF.
Get ready to learn where your edges are, and push past them. I’ll be with you every step of the way to ensure you’re safe and supported as you do so.
What makes The Intensive different than any other workshop series or program, is the focus on athletic development rather than learning new tricks and moves.
You’ll be focusing your efforts on strength work in the gym, and flexibility gains on the contortion mat. You’ll expand your overall strength & flexibility capacity, and improve your performance readiness as an athlete and artist.
Ready for anything > Learning specific tricks.
Get ready to gain new ranges of strength and flexibility, so the next time the stage lights come on, you’ll be ready to show them off.

This is not for those who are simply looking for a “grab and go” program.
This is for performing artists who are ready for eyes on their form, learn about crosstraining concepts, and be COACHED LIKE AN ATHLETE.
I can help if you:
✅ Are doing “everything right” with conditioning in the studio, on apparatus, etc, but still can’t bust through your plateau,
✅ Have tried to improve your training regimen by implementing things like increasing rest days, changing your mobility routine, or taking different classes, but are in the same place you were 6 months ago.
✅ Have tried muggle resistance training programs, but fail to see the transfer to your expression as a movement artist.
✅ Have a previous injury thats “pretty much healed”, but still flares up every once in a while and impedes on your performance.
✅ Feel like flexibility instructors “don’t get you”, and that your body will never be bendier.
✅ If you find yourself trying to “fit it all in” and aren’t sure what a balanced productive strength and flexibility program would look like for you.
✅ Have completed Level Up, or a round of The Training Club with me, and are ready for more personalized work.

Prerequisites
Please read carefully to ensure you get the most out of your Intensive experience.
Experience with lifting and flexibility training is required. 6 weeks experience OR familiarity with basic movement patterns in lifting such as squat, hinge, pushing and pulling
Need some experience? Gotchu. ➡️ Download a self-paced strength and flexibility program.
At least one years experience in your sport/movement art. Your first year of learning new skills is an exciting time that has a lot to offer you as an athlete, don’t let me get in the way! The act of learning skills in the studio can get you far in terms of strength and flexibility gains, ride that wave, and when it’s over, I’ll be here to supercharge your skills.
Be prepared to focus your efforts on STRENGTH & FLEXIBILITY TRAINING. This program is specifically for those who are hitting a plateau in their skillwork, and need to shift their focus away from learning new skills, and majorly improve upon their existing abilities.
Here’s what other performing artists are recommending to prepare:
What Performing Artists Are Saying
“Britta's approach to flexibility training is different than what I have experienced with other coaches and more importantly, my body responded well to it.
I was suffering from chronic glute and lumbar muscle spasms from my previous flexibility training and had plateaued in my progress. Britta helped me overcome that when I was close to giving up, and I was able to make progress even while pregnant!
Having her available to answer questions and troubleshoot was also a game changer. She was eager to help me sort through some pregnancy related challenges and was always encouraging and supportive. I have learned so much from her and I am looking forward to signing up for another round of The Intensive postpartum.”
— Kseniya, Pole Dancer, Intensive Goal: Get deeper in splits.
“This summer has been hectic and so busy, which I think made the Intensive even more helpful to me.
Britta laid out a program that was simple yet comprehensive, so I knew exactly where to focus my effort to see the biggest gains. She's always there to answer any questions I have or help me change strategies if needed. Most importantly, she helps me put things into perspective and figure out when to push myself and when to just chill and trust the process!”

You may be asking:
-
No. Your program will be custom tailored to your goals and training preferences, however I do recommend you are open to changes in your training schedule for best results.
-
Absolutely! Your programming will be customized to your needs. However if you’re going to be traveling for more than 10 days, with no gym access, I recommend waiting for a future intensive where you’ll have more control over your training variables.
-
1000% yes. Every exercise will be hand-selected for you and your needs. This is not a cookie cutter program. This is not even the type of program where you’ll receive exercises from a pool of pre-selected drills. This is top of the line custom programming.
-
I recommend using the Intensive as an improvement season for your strength and flexibility goals, and beginning rehearsal towards the end of the Intensive.
I don’t generally recommend competing during the course of the Intensive.
-
No. The Intensive is centered around you and your results. However I am happy to provide a certificate of completion paperwork if you would like to use The Intensive as a continuing ed credit.
-
If you don’t have the space to commit to any training right now, my advice is it’s not the right time.
Your assigned training program in The Intensive will be custom tailored to what’s manageable for you right now. The intense nature of the program refers to the quality training time and feedback you’ll get with me for maximum strength and flexibility gains, as appropriate for you right now.
In fact, if you’re busy/stressed, now may be the best time to enlist full-time support from a coach to ensure that you’re not wasting brain energy planning your training or engaging in guesswork.
With the exception of 1:1 calls with me, group zoom meetings will be recorded, and you can catch up anytime.
-
The Intensive is for performing artists who already have experience lifting, who need to hone in on how to use those skills to enhance their sport and art. The only requirement is to be familiar with strength and flexibility basics, and have some data on how you react to training. I recommend the Level Up Beginner program to do so. Heads up, Level Up is 6 weeks long, so be sure to download and get started before the Intensive registration opens up.

You will need a full gym. This is to ensure that we have options at our fingertips for whatever your body may need to progress.
